Kingda Ka

   Kingda Ka es una montaña rusa situada en Six Flags Great Adventure ( Jackson, Nueva Jersey, EE.UU. ).  Fue inaugurada en mayo de 2005, convirtiéndose en la montaña rusa más alta del mundo, con sus 139 metros de altura, muy bien asegurados debido a la peligrosidad de la atracción.

   El tren sale propulsado por un sistema de lanzamiento hidráulico, que lo hace acelerar de 0 a 206 km/h en tan sólo 3'5 segundos. Sube hasta los 139 metros por una cuesta de 90º, y baja 127 metros por un espiral de 270º, llegando a una pequeña subida de 39 metros, tras la cual se llega al final del trayecto, que dura unos 28 segundos más o menos.

   Kingda Ka is a roller coaster located in Six Flags Great Adventure ( Jackson, New Jersey, USA ). It was inagurated in May of 2005, becoming in the tallest roller coaster of the world, with its 139 metres tall, so safe as result of the dangerousness of the attraction.

   The train exits propelled by an hydraulic launch system. It goes from 0 to 206 km/h in only 3'5 seconds. It climbs to 139 metres in a 90º tower, and it goes down 127 metres in a spiral of 270º, arriving to a small hill of 39 metres. After that, we arrive at the end of the haul. It lasts 28 seconds more or less.

Shambhala

   Mi primera montaña rusa que comentaré en el blog será Shambhala, situada en Port Aventura ( Salou, Catalunya, España ). Está localizada en la zona temática de China, aunque tiene tematización propia.

   Shambhala es, con 76 metros de altura, la montaña rusa más alta de Europa. También hay que decir que tiene una caída máxima de 78 metros, la más alta de Europa también. Como último récord tiene el de ser la hypercoaster más rápida en Europa.

   Fue inaugurada en mayo de 2012, convirtiéndose en el nuevo icono del parque, modificando su skyline. Tiene cinco camelbacks, de los cuales el más pequeño tiene una altura de siete pisos. También tiene un camelback de muy baja altura, denominado speedhill, así como un splash. 

   *Opinión: he subido una vez y me ha encantado, muy recomendable. Ir a Port Aventura y no subir sería un tremendo error, así que: ¡a probarla!

   My first roller coaster that I'm going to comment in this blog will be Shambhala, located in Port Aventura ( Salou, Catalonia, Spain ). Is located in the theme zone of China, but it has its own thematic.

   Shambhala is, with 76 metres tall, the tallest roller coaster in Europa. We also have to say that it's got a maximum fall of 78 metres, the tallest of Europe too. As last record it's got, it's the fastest European hypercoaster.

   It was inaugurated in May of 2012, becoming in the new icon of the park, changing it's skyline. It's got five camelbacks. The smallest of these camelbacks has got the height of seven floors. It also has a speedhill, a small camelback. It also has got a splash.

   *Opinion: I've been there one time and I've loved it. It's so advisable. Go to Port Aventura and don't ride would be a big mistake, so: let's ride it!
